A fun day for the SPCA with another FUNdraiser

The SPCA's bills for January climbed significantly and therefore they decided to have the fundraiser.

This past weekend was one filled with sheer hope as the RandWest SPCA hosted a fundraiser at Tony’s Meat Market.

SPCA chairperson Brenda Eloff and vice chairperson Ansie Malan made fresh boerie rolls. The sauces, margarine, paper bags, and serviettes were all sponsored. The day went well after multiple people bought scrumptious boerie rolls to support the SPCA. The rolls were so delicious that Woody the dog visited the SPCA’s fundraiser.

Ansie stated that the fundraiser was not just a means of raising funds but also an information centre where people could ask the SPCA questions.

The SPCA’s successful fundraiser was however overshadowed by their kennels which are still overflowing after this month’s increase in animal rescues.

According to Brenda, the fundraiser was held after receiving 225 animals in less than a month. She stated that the committee needed to hold a fundraiser to support the animals currently in their care.

Brenda also claimed that the SPCA’s petrol bill has gone up a tremendous amount within this month and therefore they decided to have the fundraiser.
