Cosmos Home joins Santa for a market day

The Cosmos Home celebrated the festive season with Santa.

The Cosmos Home welcomed the festive season with a Christmas market recently.

Santa was not shy to join in on the fun either. The market day on November 25 was a fundraising project for the intellectually and physically disabled adults that reside in Cosmos Home.

The home took the opportunity of a warm day to host a Christmas Market where about 437 attendees indulged in good food, a dog show, a classic car and motorcycle show, a bull ride competition and plenty more. Santa made a visit and children did not hesitate to seize the moment by taking pictures on his lap.

Corne Botha Longman, CEO of Cosmos Home explained that there were some challenges. He stated that since it was Black Friday, it would be difficult to ensure that people would attend the market. However, Corne said that the market was a great success.

“We received a lot of good feedback from the community and those that took part in the market day,” Corne said.

Corne confirmed that the home is already planning their next Christmas Market for November 30, 2024.
