Dog recovering after being thrown from moving vehicle

A dog is recovering at the RandWest SPCA after being thrown out of a moving vehicle.

A dog is considered lucky to be alive after being thrown out of a moving car recently.

This is according to RandWest SPCA manager Naomi de Beer who said the dog was rescued by a homeless man.

“One of the homeless men, who is known in the area, came rushing into our offices shouting that we need to hurry up and help a dog that was thrown out of a moving car about 100 metres away.

“We then discovered the dog was full of bruises, muddy and had sustained injuries to her head, neck and paw. I cannot comprehend what she had to endure before being thrown out of a moving vehicle,” De Beer said.

She added they then took the dog to a vet where she was treated. The dog is now back at the RandWest SPCA offices in Randfontein where it is recuperating.

The dog has since been named Lucky Lucy.

“Had it not been for the homeless man with a caring heart, she might not have made it.”
