Westgold Primary School embraces cultural diversity

Cultures from around the world were celebrated during a concert by Westgold Primary School.

Westgold Primary School embraced all cultures from around the world with an exciting culture concert last month.

Grades 1–7 not only went all out with the attire but also celebrated the various cultures by dancing and singing having represented countries including the USA, New Zealand, Uganda, Tropical Islands and more. However, the entertainment did not stop there.

Grade 2 learners Owethu Kolodi and Katlego Mashinini represent Brazil.

During the concert, a few ‘Minions’ who were searching for ‘gold’ made a surprising appearance and as it turned out, the teachers and learners of Westgold Primary School were the gold they were searching for.

Grade 6 learners Monique Dawson, Mahlatse Mashiane, and Bathabile Maraba represent the United States of America.

Westgold Primary School said they were very proud of the organiser, Miranda Carlson, and offered a special thanks to every learner and teacher for their hard work and commitment.

“The school promotes working together to make a difference. It was a great success,” Miranda said.
