Shoo, its hot out there! Heatwave hits parts of Gauteng

People from different parts of Gauteng are urged to keep hydrated as a heatwave will hit parts of the province very soon.

The South African Weather Service issued a heatwave warning for parts of Gauteng and said that very hot temperatures are expected in many parts of the province from today (October 5) which would continue until Sunday (October 7).

This was due to a high-pressure system in the atmosphere, increasing surface temperature.

“Under these conditions, prolonged exposure to the midday sun poses health risks; hence, it is advisable to seek shade and keep hydrated,” the forecaster said.
