The Randfontein Herald spoke to the founder of Olerato Youth Development NPC, Nokuthula Radebe who said they all worked hand-in-hand and made all their visions come to life.

“We had such a fruitful day and everyone at the event thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We aimed to teach the youth about the importance of their culture and heritage and for them to be proud of who they are and to understand where they come from as young people. We also wanted them to understand that Heritage Day is every day and they should learn their languages and understand their dances, as well as the different foods that come with every culture,” Nokuthula said.

Meanwhile, different groups of dancers took to the stage to showcase their talents and entertain the crowd with their moves.

The groups in question include Amapansula dancers, Sotho, Tswana and Zulu dancers, as well as Isicathamiya, Amapiano and gumboot dancers.
