Water supply interruptions confirmed in parts of town

Residents of Aureus, Toekomsrus and Mohlakeng will experience water supply issues due to a burst water pipe.

Water supply in different parts of Rand West City including Aureus, Toekomsrus and Mohlakeng has been disrupted since September 12.

According to a statement issued by Rand West City Local Municipality spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa, the water interruptions are due to a burst pipe in Layland Street, Aureus.

“The burst water pipe has caused significant damage to the water infrastructure in the area resulting in a temporary water shutdown. Our team is working tirelessly to fix the pipe and restore the water supply as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we will keep you updated on the progress,” said Montshiwa, who added the downtown for repairs is currently unknown.
