Man wanted in connection with teen’s rape
After attending a party at a friend's house, a young girl was raped. Police have since released an identikit of the wanted man.
The police are asking the West Rand community at large to assist them in finding a man who is believed to have raped a 16-year old-girl in Khutsong.
Captain Solomon Sibiya of the West Rand Police explained that at about 23:00 on July 23, the man allegedly followed a 16-year-old home after she was at a friend’s party in Slovo, Khutsong.
“The victim entered her yard but did not lock the gate, unaware that someone was behind her.”
She then opened her door and went inside her house but when she tried to close the door a man blocked her and forced his way inside. Once inside he pulled out a knife, told her to go to the bedroom and take off her clothes. He then raped her.
“The police’s Family Violence and Sexual Offences Unit in Carletonville wish to appeal for assistance from the public regarding the whereabouts of the person in the picture.”
