Avantè’s colour run a huge success

Avantè Primary School's Colour Run on September 2 saw great support from the community with more than 600 people purchasing tickets.

Parents and learners from Avantè Primary School and even community members came out in their numbers to be part of the school’s exciting Colour Run on September 2.

Speaking to the Randfontein Herald in an interview, a teacher at the school Christa Brits said they really had a blast, and the turnout was amazing with more than 600 tickets purchased.

“The turnout was unbelievable. Not only did parents purchase tickets for themselves and their children but did they also bring their friends and family members along, who also showed us support. Everyone truly made the event the success that it was,” said Brits.

She added that the school gives thanks to the parents and community members who showed up and had fun with the teachers and learners on the day.

“We as Avantè staff would like to thank the parents and the community for showing up and having fun with us and participating in everything, from netball to soccer, face painting, and all the games that we played. We would like to thank them for their involvement in their children’s school,” Brits concluded.

Meanwhile, the purpose of the event was to raise funds, which will go towards the upkeep of the school.
