Avantè to welcome spring on a bright, colourful note

Avantè invites learners, parents and the community at large to their Colour Run which is not just about fun but to raise funds that will be utilised towards maintaining classrooms among other projects that will need an upkeep.

Avantè Primary School will welcome spring on a bright and colourful note by hosting a Colour Run on September 2.

The Colour Run will start at 08:00 until 13:00 at the school. The run aims to raise funds to repair everyday wear and tear at the school.

The Randfontein Herald spoke to teacher Christa Brits who said that both learners and teachers are looking forward to the event.

“We decided to host the colour run to raise funds for our school and have fun with learners in the process. We also wanted to use this opportunity to interact with the parents of our learners and we’ve also invited the community at large. We are hoping to have a fun-filled day,” said Brits.

To participate in the colour run, parents and members of the community as well as the learners will have to purchase a ticket at the school for R50.

Children under the age of three years will participate in the colour run free of charge. People are urged to wear a white T-shirt and glasses.
