Simunye resident Charles Moemedi is another rising star in the West Rand and not only is he a musician, but an entrepreneur as well.
At 27, this music sensation said that although singing has always been his first love he also has a passion for being creative and currently has his own clothing line.
Describing himself an ‘all rounder’ when it comes to music, he sings just about any genre and has released his latest single titled Korobela which translates to love potion. He prides himself in his vocals and adds that he is living in his purpose. His stage name is Cadenza.
“I’ve always wanted to be a musician and I am glad that this is what I get to do. I’m very versatile in my music offering and can sing anything from gospel and ama piano to afro-house and deep house among other genres,” said Moemedi.
He added that he aims to not only have his music circulated nationally but internationally as well.
He also spoke about local music star, Casper Nyovest, as his source of inspiration.
“I look up to the great Casper Nyovest and I simply love his work. He just motivates me. This is because he has shown it is possible for a black child to make it big in the music industry. He said never give up on your dreams or yourself and go big,” said Moemedi, who added the sky is the limit for him.
