Water supply interruptions affecting Glenharvie

Glenharvie residents will have to endure another period with little water pressure or none at all as contractors are currently connecting the new system to the existing reservoirs.

Residents of Glenharvie in Westonaria are faced with more water supply interruptions due to work being done at the Glenharvie water pump station.

Rand West City Local Municipality spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa confirmed the bad news to be effective since August 17.

“The Glenharvie water supply will be interrupted to allow the contractor at the Glenharvie water pump station to connect the new water supply system to the Glenharvie reservoirs. This will enable the contractor to ensure that the new system is properly connected to the existing reservoirs and that the new system can deliver the required quantity of water to meet the needs of the Glenharvie community,” said Montshiwa who added that they apologise for the inconvenience that this may cause.

He added that the downtime is unknown at this stage.
