Village Square bring smiles to charity home in Mohlakeng
Village Square and Ackermans reached out to a charity home in Mohlakeng that is dedicated to caring for orphans and vulnerable children.
Village Square Shopping Centre in collaboration with Ackermans did their part for Madiba month by recently donating essential items to the St John Charity Home in Mohlakeng.
Among the essential items donated included groceries, clothes for all age groups, stationery and sanitary towels.
According to Village Square’s marketing coordinator Neo Lekabe, the shopping centre donated items worth R13 500 and Ackermans came on board and sponsored clothes worth R6 000.
“The charity home’s dedication to caring for orphans and vulnerable children in the community is truly heartwarming and close to our hearts. Mandela Day is a call to action for individuals, communities and organisations to take time to reflect on Mandela Day’s values and principles and to make a positive impact in their communities.
“It was a special day for Village Square because we had the opportunity to make a great impact on our community.”
