Avbob, Checkers spoil Wings of Inspiration
During Mandela Day celebrations at Wings of Inspiration, dancing, laughter, and braai were the order of the day.
Avbob funeral home and Checkers in Randfontein were true to the spirit of Madiba by bringing joy to the people of the Wings of Inspiration Elderly Care Centre.
This was during their visit on Mandela Day which was aimed a having a fun-filled day with lots of laughter and entertainment.

The Randfontein Herald spoke to Avbob representative at the Randfontein branch, Brendan Brits who said, “We got involved because it was a celebration of a great man who did a lot of great things in his life. We were looking for an organisation that was in desperate need of help and decided to reach out to Wings of Inspiration.
We were there alongside Checkers, a big sponsor for the event, and who brought food and platters as well. This was a welcoming feast.

“Our team then brought charcoal, briquettes, boerewors, and rolls as well as the entertainment, which kept the crowd on its feet, dancing and just having a good time,” said Brendan.
He added that it was really pleasant seeing everyone enjoying themselves.
According to Brendan, this reflected what the late former president Nelson Mandela wanted for his country – that everyone should be happy.
