“I started DJing back in 2008 and I used to play a lot of Soul, Kwaito, Fusion, Jazz and Rhythm and Blues (RnB) music. While on my learning journey, I then met Lucky Mpati, as well as Jacob Manake and DJ Jezla, who I worked with and were instrumental in my career.

There were days where I’d come home and we would lock ourselves in my back room and give each other lessons on how to become a better DJ,” said Tshepo.

He added that he drew his inspiration from DJ Zimba who is also a well-known DJ in the Bekkersdal community and other spaces. He also said that music has always been his first love as he grew up with radio hogging the radio every time there were parties and traditional ceremonies at his home.

Tshepo has made his mark in his community and gets booked to play at weddings, parties, events, pubs and taverns.

He plans on going big with his career and wants to be known on a national and international scale.
