Owner and principal of Academy of Little Angels Pre-School, Angie Rocha Pita, and owner and founder of the Myburgh Foundation, Randy Christian have started a joint winter drive project to help others.

This is the first year that they’re doing this joint project.

Angie explained that usually they will do a yearly fundraiser in winter, or during the Christmas period but decided to do it differently from now on.

Last year we chose to join up with a different foundation, but now that I’ve gotten to know Randy and his foundation, I decided that we are going to continue with them.”

She explained that the project aims to help vulnerable children and give to the community that is in need.

“I feel like it just needs to happen, something in our community needs to happen and we need to help everyone else because we are definitely in a better position to have these things and I feel like it’s much better to give back to our community and know that these kids can have something for the winter, it’s a very cold winter so I think for them it’s needed.”

Randy added that the donations will be handed out to the less fortunate in the community.

I’m very grateful for Little Angels because I know that many vulnerable children will benefit from this project,” said Randy.

They have already received a few donations from the parents of the preschool like food and clothes but they are still in need of blankets.
