A man has died in a crash between a light motor vehicle and truck on the N12 in Fochville on the far West Rand on Monday morning, May 8.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said paramedics arrived on the scene at about 06:46 to find the truck and wrecked light motor vehicle in the middle of the road.
“On closer inspection, medics found the truck driver walking around the scene. A man was seen lying trapped inside the car.”
He explained paramedics assessed the patients and found that the truck driver had escaped injury while the man in the car had already succumbed to his injuries.
“Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead.”
Meiring stated that the exact details surrounding this incident are unknown but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
