“We have once more entered a hopeful time of the year which is the Easter season. This optimism is a great feeling to share, firstly with families, friends, and our communities. Many people in our city will also be celebrating their diverse traditional beliefs.

“As we will be joining various gatherings to pray, let us remember the great sacrifice that has taught us peace and love as mankind, to revive our spirit of Ubuntu to build healthy and caring neighbourhoods.

“Our city has recently been through several tough challenges which, at some point, made us feel overwhelmed. Despite this, we stood together by God’s grace and, will go into Easter to pray for more strength and spiritual and intellectual revival. Let us also not forget to lend a helping hand to those who are less fortunate,” said Khoza.

She added that those who will be travelling long distances should travel safely and arrive alive at their various destinations.

“It is important to observe road rules, be considerate to other road users, and cooperate with law enforcement agencies. Always keep children close to you. On behalf of RWCLM, we wish you a wonderful and blessed Easter weekend,” said Khoza.
