Lenmed Randfontein holds pregnancy awareness day

Approximately 20 expecting mothers came to enjoy the pregnancy awareness event at Lenmed Randfontein and learned a lot of valuable information.

Lenmed Randfontein Private Hospital celebrated all of their expecting mothers during their pregnancy awareness day on Thursday, February 16.

Organiser Tsholofelo Radebe said that the day was held to celebrate mothers, mothers-to-be, and all women. This is an annual event that’s held by the hospital.

“It’s an exciting event for all of us and we are always excited to do this event for all the mothers out there.”

Approximately 20 expecting mothers came to enjoy the pregnancy awareness event and learned a lot of valuable information.

There were also lots of prizes to be won, goodie bags, and a Q and A session for the mothers.

“We just wanted to have a fun day for all the mothers because we appreciate them.”

During the morning there were talks given, a breastfeeding workshop, a demo on light exercises that the expecting mothers could do and Home Affairs also came to speak to the mothers about how to register their baby, the documents that are needed, and what it means when you want the father on the birth certificate and other processes.

Radebe added that most importantly they were there to celebrate the mothers and their patients.

“We are here to offer support and information because being a first-time mother or even a third-time mother is always a scary journey because pregnancies are never the same, so we allow you to ask what you need and want to know.”
