Schools in Tarlton recently got to meet their “adopted” cop when the police visited them on the first day of the new school year last Wednesday (January 11).

This visit formed part of the Adopt-a-Cop programme.
Tarlton Police spokesperson Sergeant Sabina Mashego said they visited three schools (Kwaggafontein Primary School, Tarlton Intermediate School and Unity Primary School) between 08:00 and 11:00 that day.

The team consisted of Tarlton Police Station Commander Lieutenant Colonel Minky Magooe, the branch commander Captain Ngwasheng, acting Visible Policing commander Warrant Officer Ramatlotlo, Social Crime Prevention Sergeant Senzekile Phaladi and Sector Manager Moreki Lekwape.
They were supported by Miss Boingtolo from the Department of Health and Ward Councillor Emmanuel Munyai.
Issues of safety, bullying and theft were also addressed.
