Dogs poisoned for a generator during plot invasion

Two dogs died after being poisoned on a plot last week. Thieves also stole a generator in the process – Mapogo A Mathamaga Security.

A homeowner’s dogs were poisoned all for just a generator during a theft on a plot near Rikasrus last week.

According to Mapogo A Mathamaga security company’s operations manager Danie Vermeulen, it was one of three serious incidents reported to their client base for the period from Monday, January 9 to Sunday, January 15.

“At about 23:10 last Thursday night, January 12, the suspects gained entry by breaking through the perimeter wall. The suspects then poisoned two dogs and went on to steal one generator,” Danie said.

Details about other incidents:

1. Monday, January 9 at 07:04 – Housebreaking and theft in Stubbs Street, Randfontein

Suspects gained entry by forcing open a security gate and went on to steal an unknown number of items.

2. Sunday, January 15 at 04:02. Common theft in Elaine street, Homelake

Suspects gained entry by breaking a palisade gate and went on to steal one solar light from a wall inside the premises.
