W’aria Police visit seven schools in Adopt-a-cop initiative

Westonaria Police visited seven schools around the precinct to tackle criminal elements and discuss the dangers of crime.

Police in Westonaria, affiliated to the Adopt-a-cop initiative, recently visited seven schools around the precinct to tackle criminal elements and discuss the dangers of crime.

Westonaria Police station commander Colonel Jurie Ferreira was also in attendance and joined by officers of various ranks, the Institutional Development Support Officer (IDSO) from District 2 as well as representatives from the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE).

The schools visited on the day included Laerskool Gerrit Maritz Primary, Laerskool Venterspost Primary, Modderfontein Primary School and Glenharvie Combined School.

Colonel Ferreira said all was in order at the schools mentioned.
