Health MEC honours local healthcare workers

Health MEC Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko's visit to Rand West City recently was aimed at appreciating West Rand district's healthcare workers for their dedication.

Gauteng Health MEC Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko visited Mohlakeng in Rand West City recently to pay homage to healthcare workers across the West Rand district.

The event was aimed at showing appreciation towards West Rand district’s health employees, including doctors, for their dedication in the line of duty.

Apart from recognising health workers and their service in the community, the event was also aimed at bringing health services to the elderly in Mohlakeng. Photo sourced.

Speaking at the event, Nkomo-Ralehoko said healthcare workers have displayed exemplary service delivery to the people in various communities in the district.

“You are doing exactly what we expect. You are the best and we really appreciate your support. Your service throughout the district is out of this world and you are an example of what true patient care is all about,” Nkomo-Ralehoko added.

She added that healthcare workers must continue the good work and serve the community with pride, even in difficult working conditions.
