Criminals remove precast wall to gain access to Greenhills home

Mapogo A Mathamag Security released its latest crime report in the Rand West City that included housebreakings and theft in Helikonpark, Robinpark and trespassing in Aureus.

Suspects recently gained entry to a premises in Greenhills by removing a prefabricated wall on Thursday morning, December 29. It was one of five serious incidents reported to Mapogo A Mathamaga Security in Rand West City for the period Sunday, December 25 to Saturday, December 31.

The security company’s operations manager Danie Vermeulen explained, “Suspects went to steal copper cable, three televisions, one kettle and a microwave”.

Breakdown of the other incidents reported:

1. Sunday, December 25 at 05:33 – Housebreaking and theft in Bromvoël Street, Helikonpark

A suspect gained access by breaking the main gate’s lock and went on to break into the out buildings and stole unknown goods.

2. Wednesday, December 28 at 07:05 – Housebreaking and theft in Homestead Avenue, Robinpark

Suspects gained entry into shop and went on to steal an unknown amount of cash and goods.

3. Friday, December 30 at 08:40 – Common theft in Homestead Avenue, Greenhills

A suspect jumped over the front wall and stole one wall light.

4. Saturday, December 31 at 23:34 – Trespassing, Mercedes Road, Aureus

A suspect gained entry by jumping over the perimeter wall but was arrested by onsite guards.
