Non-profit organisation Pink Lips Manager Portia Sithole.

Pink Lips manager Portia Sithole said the event proved to be a big success as people came out in their numbers.

Pink Lips also gave out pamphlets at the event which contained critical information regarding breast cancer.

“We had a lot of support from women of Mohlakeng and its surrounds and it was just beautiful to witness. We spoke about a lot of pertinent issues but top of the agenda was breast cancer and just ways to navigate the illness. We also gave out critical information about breast cancer as a whole and we also spoke about the science of breast cancer, as well as the anatomy of the breast.

“We also unpacked the myths and treatments that are available to women and where to get the treatments” said Sithole who added that they also did a breast self-examination demonstration.
