Motorist loses control, crashes through precast wall in Randgate premises

Mapogo A Mathamaga Security released its latest crime report in the Rand West City that included attempted housebreak and attempted theft.

A driver lost control of his vehicle and drove through the precast wall of a premises in Randgate in one of the six serious incidents reported to Mapogo A Mathamaga Security in the Rand West City for the period Monday, October 31 to Sunday, November 6.

The security company’s operations manager Ben Willemse explained the incident took place at 22:11 last Friday, November 4.

Details about other incidents:

1. Tuesday, October 31 at 18:53 – Attempted theft in Elaine Street, Homelake:

Perpetrators gained access onto the property by climbing over the back wall and attempted to steal a generator and when the alarm activated, the perpetrators fled the scene.

2. Thursday, November 3 at 14:12 – Housebreaking and theft in Granaat Street, Greenhills:

Perpetrators climbed over the perimeter wall and proceeded to the bedroom where they broke the bedroom window and stole various items from the premises and fled the scene.

3. Friday, November 4 at 08:19 – Housebreaking and theft in Azaadville Road, Randfontein:

Perpetrators gained entry onto the premises during the night and stole a computer box and fled the scene.

4. Friday, November 4 at 16:21 – Housebreaking and theft in Moorhen Street, Helikonpark:

While the owner was home perpetrators lifted the main gate from its rails and proceeded to the front door where the safety gate and door was forced open and they stole various household items and fled the scene.

5. Sunday, November 6 at 08:20 – Attempted housebreaking in Drakensberg Street, Finsbury:

Perpetrators climbed over the perimeter wall of the premises and forced open the safety gate when they were disturbed and fled the scene without taking anything.
