Two attempted business break-ins in Randgate
Mapogo A Mathamaga Security released its latest crime report in the Rand West City that included business break-ins and attempted break-ins in Randgate and the CBD.
Perpetrators broke a hole through the perimeter wall and proceeded to steal a piece of copper pipe and fled the scene in Aureus in one of the four serious incidents reported to Mapogo A Mathamaga Security in the Rand West City for the period Monday, October 17 to Sunday, October 23.
The security company’s operations manager Ben Willemse explained the incident took place at 10:52 last Tuesday, October 18.
Details about other incidents:
1. Monday, October 17 October at 07:52 – Attempted business break-in, Union Street, Randgate
During the evening perpetrators attempted to break into the premises by cutting the locks from the roller doors but gained no entry into the shop.
2. Monday, October 17 October at 07:57 – Attempted business break-in, Union Street, Randgate
During the evening, perpetrators attempted to break the door lock and cracked the front door glass window.
3. Sunday, October 23 at 20:51 – Business break-in, 2nd Street, Randfontein
Perpetrators broke the lock and entered the premises and stole an unknown amount of items and fled the scene.
