A driver lost control of his Nissan X-Trail in one of 11 serious incidents reported to Mapogo A Mathamaga Security in Randfontein for the period Monday, October 10 to Sunday, October 16.
The security company’s operations manager Ben Willemse explained the incident took place at approximately 12:09 on Sunday.
“The driver of a Nissan X-Trail lost control of his vehicle and drove through the pre-cast wall of a premises.”

1. Monday, October 10 at 06:12 – Business break-in, Drakensberg Street, Finsbury
Perpetrators made a hole through the roof and stole five bottles of liquor and fled the scene.
2. Monday, October 10 at 06:20 – Business break-in, 1st Street, Randfontein
Perpetrators broke the palisade fence bars and stole tractor parts from the premises and fled the scene.
3. Monday, October 10 at 10:51 – Housebreak and theft, Tier Street, Greenhills
Perpetrators broke a hole through the perimeter wall and proceeded to the house where they stole household items and fled the scene.
4. Tuesday, October 11 at 07:23 – Housebreak and theft, Da Gama Street, Culemborg Park
Perpetrators broke the precast wall and proceeded to the house where they stole items from the house and fled the scene.
5. Tuesday, October 11 at 18:00 – Housebreak and theft, Darter Street, Greenhills
Perpetrators gained entry onto the premises through the main gate and proceeded to the front door where they forced open the security gate and front door and stole household items from the house and fled the scene.
6. Wednesday, October 12 at 04:58 – Theft out of motor vehicle, Main Road, Middelvlei
Perpetrators broke the locks of the garage and stole several items from the owners’ vehicle and fled the scene.
7. Friday, October 14 at 07:29 – Housebreak and theft, 10th Road, Wheatlands
Perpetrators broke the locks of the gates and proceeded to the workshop where they stole items and fled the scene.
8. Saturday, October 15 at 08:27 – Business break-in, Main Reef Road, Randfontein CBD
Perpetrators climbed onto the roof and made a hole through the roof and damaged the alarm system and stole several items from the shop and fled the scene.
9. Saturday, October 15 at 01:40 – Damage to property, Smuts Street, Randgate
Perpetrators climbed into the roof and moved around within the roof and broke several holes in the ceiling boards.
10. Saturday, October 15 at 01:40 – Business break-in, Smuts Street, Randgate
Perpetrators climbed into the roof and climbed into the shop and stole several cell phones, wrist watches and power banks and fled the scene in the same manner they gained entry.
