Life Robinson celebrates National Pharmacy Month

They had various activities that was held at the hospital and talks with the community of Randfontein.

Life Robinson Private Hospital recently celebrated National Pharmacy Month with an array of important and fun activities that hospital employees, doctors and the community took part in.

Life Robinson Private Hospital spokesperson Melanie van Staden said traditionally the hospital participates annually in National Pharmacy Month and this year wasn’t any different.

The Pharmacy division once again had a full program for the month which involved not only hospital employees and doctors, but the community as well.

“The South African Pharmacy Council’s theme for 2022 was “Women and Youth Health”. Life Robinson Private Hospital’s pharmacy had various activities which included a visit to Laerskool Randfontein, where dietitian, Tharina Koekemoer, discuss the importance of healthy eating habits with the Grade 5 learners.”

Melanie added the pharmacy employees also visited Tulbach House to spend time with the residents to enjoy some leisure activities which included playing games, dancing and face painting, the visit also included health discussions with the employees at Tullbach House.

“Awareness was created among visitors, patients and colleagues via the information corner at Life Robinson Private Hospital’s pharmacy. Information focused on healthy eating habits, mental health and gynecological health. A number of exciting competitions were held during the month, including a selfie competition, pharmacy quiz and a questionnaire regarding women gynecology health checks”.

The hospital’s Pharmacy Month ended on a high, but serious note, with a self-defense demonstration for employees, by Sensei Joanne Pyle from Randfontein Karate and the demonstration included teaching, and practicing various self-defense techniques.
