Rand Water maintenance: Municipality reveals the exact areas for Rand West
Residents are advised to prepare for temporary water disruptions as the maintenance is carried out between June 22 and July 29.
Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) has revealed which areas will be affected in town by Rand Water’s planned maintenance work starting June 22.
According to municipal spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa, the areas that will be affected in Westonaria include Hillshaven, Wagterskop/ Mountainview, Waterpan, Thusanang, Zuurbekom, Simunye, Bekkersdal, Glenharvie, Westonaria Borwa, Venterspos and the surrounding areas in the Westonaria region.
In Randfontein, the affected areas include Greenhills, Randgate, Homelake, Finsbury, Westergloor, Oasis, Toekomsrus, Helikon Park, AFRI village, Mohlakeng, and all extensions such as Badirile, Bongweni, Pelzvale, Zenzele, and Dan Tlome.
Montshiwa has stated that the municipality will deploy water tankers to affected areas to ensure water supply.
“We encourage residents to increase their water storage capacity in preparation for this maintenance work. Regular updates on water supply and reservoir levels will be provided throughout the maintenance period,” Montshiwa said.
