Another IDP session shows RWCLM is taking things seriously

The municipality held yet another IDP meeting, this time in wards 14, 19 and 22 to highlight current issues.

The deputy mayor of Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) Nontombi Dyase Molatlhegi recently presented the IDP review document to the community of wards 14, 19 and 22.

Her visit included discussing obstacles that an old age home is facing, complaints relating to billing, severe sewer spillages, and the lack of sporting and recreational facilities. She then also raised shared concerns surrounding potholes as well as the frustration around frequent power cuts and load reduction.

They stated further that the high rate of unemployment, particularly seen in youth sectors is of major concern and also mentioned there is a great need for skills development centres.
