Residents will spend most of June 27 without electricity, due to maintenance work being carried out at the Drowell substation.

This is the word from Rand West City Local (RWCLM) spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa who said that the maintenance work is scheduled from 08:00 to 16:00.

“Kindly be informed that certain areas in our jurisdiction will be switched off to do maintenance work at the Drowell substation.
“The work will be done on the existing breakers, and we will restore the electricity as soon as one breaker has been serviced,” said Montshiwa.

He added that the following areas are affected:

• Oosterplot
• Loumarina
• Botha plots
• Wilbotsdal
• Elandsvlei
• OR Tambo
• Jabulani
• Dan Thloome
