Residents in some areas of Rand West City have no option but to wait for electricity to be restored as criminal elements continue to flourish across town.

This comes after some areas were left without power since Tuesday morning, February 28 due to cable theft.
News of this was confirmed by Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa.
I can confirm there has been cable theft in the area. The electrical department is busy resolving the issue and residents will be connected very soon,” said Montshiwa.
He added that it currently remains unclear as to which areas exactly have been affected but confirmed Greenhills to be one of the heavily affected areas.
