ATM bombed in Toekomsrus

ATM bombing in Toekomsrus now leads to inconvenience for residents.

An ATM bombing took place in the early hours of this morning, September 13.

This has been confirmed by police who were on the scene.

The Myburgh Foundation’s Randy Christian confirmed the bombing when he arrived on the scene and said other security personnel also responded.

“Four explosions could be heard and community members contacted the police who responded to the scene,” he said.

Upon arrival, he requested bystanders to clear the area since it was an active crime scene. The foundation along with police awaited forensics and the relevant on-duty officers to conduct their analysis.

“Residents will now face the inconvenience of having to travel to Mohlakeng or Randfontein CBD to withdraw their money,” he said.

The Myburgh Foundation arrived on the scene along with other security personnel.

He urged the community to contact the police if they have any information regarding the case.
