Myburgh Foundation cracks down on illegal cigarettes

The Myburgh Foundation in partnership with the police helped remove illegal cigarettes in Toekomsrus.

The Myburgh Foundation seized illegal cigarettes during a three-day crackdown with law enforcement.

According to the foundation’s operation manager, Randy Christian, their emergency response team regularly contributes to the safety and security in Toekomsrus by mitigating crime and the social ills that plague the community.

They also hosted a self-defence and situation awareness class during the week to equip high-risk individuals with the skills to guard themselves while out on the streets.

“Our team will intensify our crackdown on lawlessness in conjunction with police and other stakeholders in an attempt to render our town safe again,” Christian said.
