Decomposed body found underground

Police have found a body in a decomposed state underground in Mohlakeng Ext 7.

According to police spokesperson Captain Solomon Sibiya, the body was discovered at about 16:00 on November 22.

While it is unknown if the body is that of a man or woman, the body was sent for forensic testing as well as to determine the cause of death. He added that Mohlakeng police have opened an inquest docket.

An update will follow once more information has been given.
