Myburgh Safety Unit clamps down of crime in Toekies

The Myburgh Foundation Community Safety Unit was out and about in Toekomsrus to play its part in the fight against crime.

The Myburgh Foundation Community Safety Unit hit the streets on Wednesday, April 26 to address various social ills within the community.

Founder Randy Christian said their key focus was to confiscate dangerous weapons, protect infrastructure and prevent cable theft, especially during load-shedding.

“Our committed and dedicated team believes that strong partnerships with the police, CPF, and other law enforcement entities will yield great results in mitigating high levels of criminal activity.”

He added that they will also be looking at partnering with the immigration department to address the issue of undocumented immigrants who roam around without fear of the law.

“This welfare and humanitarian activity we’re conducting falls under the Income Tax Act: Protection of the General Safety of the Public.”
