Two home invasions a day apart in Greenhills. The victims were tied up in both incidents according to Mapogo A Mathamaga Security.

Two armed home invasions in Greenhills have been reported in just one day. These are just two of the four incidents reported to Mapogo A Mathamaga Security in Rand West City for the period between Monday, March 13 to Sunday, March 19.

The security company’s operations manager Danie Vermeulen explained the first armed home invasion took place on Tuesday, March 14 at approximately 10:11. Three armed suspects managed to gain access to the property and tied up the domestic worker.
“The suspects then went on to steal various items including several TVs and jewelry, the suspects used a silver GWM vehicle and no arrests were made.”

The second home invasion took place only a day later, on Wednesday, March 15 at approximately 12:46. An unknown number of suspects entered the premises and tied people up.

The suspects went on to steal an undisclosed amount of cash and airguns, they used a silver Volvo and no arrests were made,” said Vermeulen.

Details about other incidents:

1. Thursday, March 16 at 04:09 – Car theft

Suspects cut the perimeter fence and went on to steal a Toyota Fortuner. No arrests were made.

2. Friday, March 17 at 20:31 – Housebreaking and theft, Franshoek Street, Culemborgpark

Suspects gained entry by lifting the main gate of the rail. The suspects then entered the house and went on to steal one TV and one PlayStation. No arrests were made.
