The three learners who had been arrested in connection with the stabbing of four other learners at TM Letlhake Secondary School were released into the custody of their guardians.
This is according to National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane who said the trio appeared in the Westonaria Magistrate’s Court on September 21.

The charges against one of the three who were suspected of committing assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm had since been dropped.
Some of the TM Letlhake learners were involved in a fight on the school premises on September 19, which they later continued outside the school.
We will communicate the next court date once it becomes available,” said Mjonondwane.
She added that a preliminary inquiry into the personal circumstances of each child was launched in terms of the Child Justice Act 75 of 2008 on September 23.
Gauteng Education Department spokesperson Steve Mabona already confirmed that approximately 50 learners suspected to be linked to the incident had since been suspended.
