Westgold orating its way to success

Laerskool Westgold Primary's young orators are continuing the school's tradition of public speaking excellence.

Laerskool Westgold Primary is making a statement for all the right reasons.

This was after the school’s public speaking team won the Gauteng West district-level group competition.

According to school spokesperson Mariska du Plessis, the team thus managed to successfully defend their title with a remarkable performance by scoring 92%.

“The second-place team scored 75%, underscoring the excellence of Laerskool Westgold Primary’s speakers,” Mariska said proudly.

Further, the team competed at the RACA Eisteddfod for the first time last month. There, they earned a diamond award for their performance.

This marked a significant accomplishment for these young orators who continue the school’s tradition of public speaking excellence,” Mariska concluded.
