Big plans for pensioners with U3A West Rand

U3A West Rand is inviting all pensioners to meet new people and go on various adventures this September.

• Tuesday, September 12
The U3A West Rand will have their monthly meeting at the Church of Ascension in Red Thorn Street, Rangeview at 9:30. All senior citizens are welcome. Join us to meet new people and have a cup of coffee/ tea before the talk which will be provided by members of Retina South Africa. Their team will be providing, not only useful advice regarding the care of our eyesight but also a personal interview which will be available to all attendees. Everyone can benefit and learn how to prevent eye problems as we age.

• Wednesday, September 20
Let’s celebrate spring and go on an outing to the Black Horse Brewery in Magaliesburg.
We will learn about the making of gin and beer, and do some tasting. Lunch will follow under the trees.
Then off to the Maropeng Visitor’s Centre in The Cradle of Humankind for a tour.
