Woman killed in N12 minibus-car crash
'Medics found a woman lying trapped in the light motor vehicle. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for her, and she was declared dead' – ER24.
A woman in her 40s was killed when a minibus collided with her light motor vehicle on the N12 on the far West Rand on June 26.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said they arrived on the scene just before 16:00 only to find the provincial emergency management services already in attendance.
“A minibus and a light motor vehicle were parked in the middle of the road. On closer inspection, medics found a woman, believed to be in her 40s, lying trapped in the light motor vehicle. Unfortunately, the woman had already succumbed to her numerous injuries. Nothing could be done for her, and she was declared dead,” Meiring said.
Meiring added that the driver of the minibus escaped injury.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
