Connect to Feed NPO holds winter drive at SA Basset Adoptions

They donated items like deworming medication, tinned food, leashes, blankets and more.

The Connect to Feed NPO organisation did a winter drive for SA Basset Adoptions at their Randfontein site on Saturday, July 23.

Swati Bhagat, a Connect to Feed team member said the Randfontein site is taken care of by Marelize Potgieter, a team member of SA Basset Adoptions who fosters approximately 20 Bassets and other dogs until they are adopted.

The Connect to Feed team donated items which included deworming medication, tinned food, leashes, blankets, dog food, tick and flea treatment, collars, beds, jackets and some medicine.

“Our tagline is ‘Spreading Happiness’ and we are always willing to help the people and animals in distress with whatever little we have. We are a strong team and we try to do events every month – whether at an orphanage, old age home or an animal shelter,” said Bhagat.

They have helped the society for the past two years and aim to continue doing so.
