The community of Mohlakeng started barricading the roads with burning the tyres and stones at approximately 05:00 on Thursday July 14.
“Police dispatched members of Public Order Policing to monitor the situation, and fired rubber bullets to disperse the crowd,” said West Rand District Police spokesperson Captain Raymond Sebonyane.
No injuries were reported.
