Janine Ferreira is proud to be a Mrs South Africa semi-finalist.
The beautiful 32-year-old said she entered the pageant to show other girls that no matter what stands in your way, nothing is impossible.
I have a full-time career, three active and wonderful kids, and various hobbies, but I still entered Mrs South Africa. I wish to encourage people to take a leap of faith and do what they desire to do, and take risks for what they love and believe in.”
She said as a finalist she would have the opportunity to inspire people and change lives as it would allow her to reach more people.
In 2018 Janine was crowned as Mrs Johannesburg second princess and the same year she was also a Mrs South Africa semi-finalist.
Janine is a director of VDV, Vir Die Verandering, a project established with the intent to provide those in dire need with food and other necessities.
My father is the most influential person in my life; he leads by example and when I feel I can’t take another step forward, he shows me that I can still take ten more steps. My motto in life is family first! This my father taught me growing up because no matter what life threw at him, he always made sure the people he cared about were safe and loved.”
She believes that whatever one person perceives as beautiful does not necessarily mean the same to the next person. “We see hundreds of people throughout a normal day, but I believe when you see someone whom you truly find beautiful, you stop and pause for a second. The same applies when you look at the ocean, or a sunset.”

The advice she has for someone who would be interested in entering the Mrs South Africa competition is to remember that one has one opportunity in this life.
There are no re-dos or second chances; why not take this one opportunity and give it your all? In the end, we will not regret the risks we have taken, we will regret the risks we have not taken.”
