Bekkersdal police are investigating two unrelated cases of missing persons from Simunye.

Bekkersdal police are investigating two unrelated cases of missing persons from Simunye and are urging the community to help be their eyes and ears.

The first case pertains to the 23-year-old Tulisiwe Booi who was last seen on September 9 last year at around 06:40 when she was about to go to school in Bekkersdal.

She was in her school uniform; a white school shirt, grey trousers, a grey jersey and black school shoes,” said police spokesperson Sergeant Linkie Lefakane.

Police are also looking for Tyelinzima James Mncube, 42, also from Simunye, but Extension 5, who was last seen on February 25 this year at around 10:00 said to be on his way to Westonaria.

“He was wearing grey trousers with a navy blue track top, and was carrying a blue and black Nike backpack,” Lefakane said.

Missing persons cases were opened for both, and investigations are continuing.
