‘Take charge of your lives’ – Government to the youth

The aim was to make sure that the youth in the area were informed and given skills.

The Gauteng government’s youth empowerment initiative, Tshepo 1 Million visited the youth in Afri-Village on Thursday April 14 to speak to them about empowering themselves.

Coordinator of the programme, Kompi Mareka said the aim of the initiative was to inform the young people what some of the programmes they’re offering entailed, equipping them with information to take charge of their own lives.

We’re to do this continuously so that we could uplift our local young people. We’re glad that the Tshepo 1 Million has managed to give them skills and all they may need to be able to benefit,” Kompi said.
