One dead, another injured as vehicle rear-ends truck on R28
A man died and another was injured when their light motor vehicle rear-ended a truck on the R28 outside Randfontein on Wednesday, April 20.
A man died and another was injured when their light motor vehicle rear-ended a truck on the R28 outside Randfontein on Wednesday, April 20.
According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring, their paramedics and other services arrived at the scene at approximately 12:06 to find the truck on the side of the road while the wrecked light motor vehicle was on the opposite side.
Paramedics found that the driver had already succumbed to his injuries. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead. The male passenger who was seen walking around had sustained moderate injuries.”
Russel added that the driver of the truck fortunately escaped injury and the passenger of the light motor vehicle was treated and later transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
