Rand West City residents paid their last respects to the late Joseph Oupa Bila at his memorial service at the St John the Divine Orphanage in Mohlakeng on Tuesday April 12.

Various speakers, representatives of various organisations, those mentored by Bila and those who simply admired him took to the stage to speak about his life and times; and praised him for the good work he’s known for in the community.
According to Raymond Bila, who spoke on behalf of the family, Oupa Bola died a few days after he was admitted to hospital. He was laid to rest on Wednesday April 13 in the Heroes Acre of the Greenhills Cemetery.
