Police engage with Robinpark residents to address crime

Randfontein Police have conducted a door-to-door crime-awareness campaign in and around Robinpark on Thursday March 24 at around 10:00.

Sergeant Carmen Hendricks, spokesperson of the Randfontein Police said they’d interacted with residents on crimes that were common and reported regularly, such as housebreaking, house robberies, domestic abuse and violence, common robberies and theft of motors vehicles, which were giving residents sleepless nights.

We’ve engaged with residents who were happy to see us, and requested more visibility from the police in the area. We’ve also shared safety tips with contact details of the police and emergency services by distributing 100 pamphlets,” Hendricks said.

Hendricks went on to urge members of the community to be the eyes and ears of the police on the ground; and always report anything they thought was suspicious.

“They should come forward with information and contact Randfontein Police on 011 414 4992 and the Crime Stop line 08600 10111; or use our SMS line 32211 or provide information via the My SAPS app and remain anonymous,” Hendricks said.
